Here at ThousandDollarDays.com, we use SEO techniques to establish ourselves as experts in the field of internet marketing and to spread the word about our latest marketing ventures, including Perfect Wealth Formula.
There are five basic things you need to do to please the Googlebots and keep the spiders satisfied:
1) Keep your website simple.
You won't impress them with fancy designs and eye-catching appeal - these are computerized visitors, not human traffic that takes action based on their emotions.
2) Use Meta Tags, but don't rely on them.
Meta tags aren't altogether extinct, but they are no longer the one discipline that can make or break your influx of traffic. Google mainly uses Meta Tags, such as your Title, Description, and Keyword tags - to index your site and put it in the right category.
3) Design Your Site in CSS.
Cascading Style Sheets are basically just instructions for how the site is presented to the visitor. Not only does Google appreciate CSS, but once you get used to it, you will too, since it allows you to frequently update the text appearance of your entire site with minimal effort.
4) Be a good guide.
The Googlebots are advanced technology, but they won't know what to do if they find a broken link or can't find their way off of your homepage. Their only option is to leave, and you want your entire website indexed - not just the landing page. Use text links and avoid JavaScript when creating your navigation - and make sure you provide the spiders with a Site Map.
5) Don't super-size your files.
In today's world, bigger is usually better. But putting big files on your site will drag it down and cause both robots and human traffic to click out before ever seeing your intended message. There are ways to optimize your images and compress all of your files, so make sure you give the visitor a quick and easy downloadable page. Google isn't particular about the colors you use or the words used to describe your message to your audience. But they do want you to show relevancy, which is why keywords are the keys to a Googlebot's heart.
Here's a freebie for anyone interested. It's an e-book called "The Newbie's Guide to Online Fortunes". I have the resale rights but I give it away. It's a perfect way to draw attention to my many online product offerings, including Easy Daily Cash Gold and my favorite, Perfect Wealth Formula. Enjoy!
